One of the games on the Pierre Governor schedule which wouldn’t likely be circled as a big and meaningful game becomes a lot bigger tonight as the Sturgis Scoopers come to town.
The Scoopers are coming in on a high of beating Yankton last Friday, in which the Bucks were the near consensus number one team in 11AA. Now, with the Scoopers at 4-2 and the Governors at 3-3, a lot of playoff seeding and implications are on the line as the Scoopers try and stay in the top four of the standings while the Govs are wanting to win its last three games, all against West River schools starting with the Scoopers. The Scoopers are up and down though, they lost to Aberdeen Central who are 2-4 before beating Yankton last week, but Steele says the Scoopers playing hardnosed football game in and game out…
