The Pierre Governor tennis team is in seventh place at the ESD tournament heading into the final day with Adrian Hand still in contention for a flight championship.
Hand in singles flight five would win her first round match on Monday 10-5 over Elly Dingsor of Watertown to reach the semifinals for Tuesday morning. Eliza Mayer in flight three would win her play-in match, but her along with the four flights would fall in the first round match and will be looking to win the consolation championship on Tuesday. Breanna Tedrow in flight one, Elise Bowers in flight two, Amara Dell in flight four and Gemma Stangeland in flight six.
All three doubles pairings will be in the consolation semifinals to start Tuesday as well. Tedrow and Dell in flight one, Bowers and Mayer in flight two and Hand and Stangeland in flight three. Pierre has a total of 12 points, ahead of Brookings and Huron to open day two. Mitchell leads Aberdeen Central by four points for the lead, 134-130.
