PIERRE, (KCCR) — A very short agenda greets the Pierre City Commission this week. Commissioners will take action on only two items; the consent calendar and one item of unfinished business. The consent calendar includes approval of minutes from last week’s meeting and claims along with the promotion of Kyle Cummings to Captain of the Pierre Police Department, a new firefighter application and the appointment of three individuals to the Pierre/Fort Pierre Historic Preservation Commission. The lone item of unfinished business on the agenda is a request to rebid for landfill bale bags. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue items they many have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
