The Pierre Governors were no match to the tough Lincoln Patriots on Thursday as Lincoln would sweep Pierre 25-10, 25-16 and 25-10 at home.
Hannah Baron would lead all hitters with 10 kills on the evening as the Patriots had 32 to the Governors 13. Pierre had 18 hitting errors in total with 10 coming in the third set as Lincoln used a 15 point run to create a 16-1 lead and cruise. The Patriots never trailed in the match as they also had nine aces to the Govs one. Ally Keyes would have four kills to lead the Govs as they continue to look for a double digit hitter this season. The Govs drop to 2-7 while the Patriots improve to 7-3.
Pierre will wrap up the first half of the season on Saturday with a trip to Tea to face the winless Titans. After the game on Saturday, Pierre will have 14 days off before its next game.
