PIERRE, (KCCR) — The owner of a Pierre business has been indicted by a Hughes County Grand Jury on multiple felony drug-related charges. The indictment has been sealed and an arrest warrant issued for 29 year-old Bristol Jade Nielsen. The court documents on file in Hughes County list Nielsen as doing business as Masterpiece Smoke Shop, located in the 100 block of East Capitol Avenue. Nielsen is facing charges filed by the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office of Distribution or Possession with Intent to Distribute one-pound or More of Marijuana; Manufacture, Distribution or Possession of a Controlled Substance; Violation of a Drug-Free Zone; Keeping a Place for Use or Sale of a Controlled Substance and Possession, Sale or Distribution of a Substance for Intoxication as a Misdemeanor. A Habitual Offender information has also been filed as a result of Nielsen having been found guilty of Receiving or Transferring a Stolen Vehicle in Stanley County in 2016. Masterpiece Smoke Shop is two blocks west of Georgia Morse Middle School and across the street from the Hughes County Courthouse. Two motions for a Change of Judge have been filed with Sixth Circuit Judges Christina Klinger and Bridget Mayer seeking removal from the case.
