PIERRE, (KCCR) — Two North Dakota men have been sentenced for their role in robbing a bank in Eagle Butte. U-S Attorney Alison Ramsdell says 40 year-old Jason Cook and 38 year-old Conrad DeMarce were sentenced to seven years of federal prison time. The men were also ordered to pay 99-dollars and 91-cents to be paid joint and several restitution for what they took from the bank. Both will also serve three years of supervised release after the seven years in prison. Ramsdell says Cook and DeMarce traveled to Eagle Butte on April 8th and entered the Black Hills Federal Credit Union branch dressed in black with face coverings; armed with B-B gun pistols that had a real firearm appearance. The men used the pistols to threaten and intimidate four employees and one customer in the bank. Cook and DeMarce forced the employees and customer into the bank’s bathroom while breaking the customer’s phone. The also engaged Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement in a high speed pursuit that ended when the vehicle ran out of gas.
