PIERRE, (KCCR) — The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department is expecting a robust pheasant and prairie grouse harvest as those season begin in a few weeks. Senior Wildlife Biologist Alex Solem says a slightly longer grouse season last year didn’t play into the larger harvest numbers…

South Dakota’s pheasant season opens October 18th. The youth season opens September 27th to October 5th and the resident only season is October 11th to October 13th.
