The Stanely County Lady Buffaloes would get its first win of the season on Saturday splitting the two matches in White River, beating Little Wound in four sets, but falling to White River in three.
The Lady Buffs would lose 25-23, 25-22 and 25-15 to White River playing the Tigers close in the first two sets almost taking it to extra points in the first two sets, but the Tigers were able to close it out. However, Stanley County was able to bounce back after the first set loss to Little Wound, 21-25 to win the next three 25-23, 25-12 and 25-16 to win their first match of the season. Stanley County was able to secure the second set win and then dominate in the third and fourth sets to get the win.
Stanley County is now 1-4 and will host its Homecoming game on Thursday when the Phillip Lady Scotties will be in town. First serve will be around 7:15 on Thursday at Parkview Auditorium.
