PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is meeting for the first time during the new school year tonight. A very light agenda will come before the board tonight. The Board will consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments, if any, will follow along with the first update of the new school year from the Riggs Student Senate. The agenda to follow is fairly short. The Board will consider taking action on the Riggs Expansion project following an update from the Buildings and Grounds Committee. From there, the Board will consider approval of donations, retirements, contract items and out-of-district open enrollments for the 2026-26 school year. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at the District Administration Building on Poplar Avenue at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
