PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A light agenda will come before Commissioners tonight with only three items of regular business for consideration. Commissioners will first have to approve a six-item consent calendar. On the calendar are minutes and claims for approval, a new volunteer firefighter application, setting a public hearing for a malt beverage and wine license application and two raffle requests. Those raffle requests are on behalf of the American Legion Post Eight and the Knights of Columbus 26–86. Commissioners will consider approval of a street closure request for the T-F Riggs Homecoming parade on September 26th and an agreement for Air Burst Line with P-K-G Contracting. The Commission will also give first reading to the 2026 Budget Ordinance. Commissioner will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
