The next three games will be at home for the Stanley County football team, but tonight is the first game to ever be played on the new turf football field as the Buffs take on the Trojans.
Parkston has been near the top of the standings over the last several years which included another state championship appearance. The Trojans have won at least 10 games in each of the last three seasons, but they opened up 2025 with a 20-6 loss to Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy tying the amount of losses they had in the last two seasons combined. The Buffs will look for a better defensive output after giving up 72 points last week in the 72-32 loss to Hill City. However, Stanley County would like to have the same offensive output, specifically in the first quarter when they scored 24 points. Max Foth, head coach of the Stanley County Buffaloes says there’s a lot of excitement heading into the first game with the brand new turf…
Foth says Parkston is very good and big up front…
Foth says they need to take care of the football tonight…
Kickoff tonight at Ole Williamson Field on the new turf is at 7:00.
