PIERRE, (KCCR) — The book is now officially closed on Denver Air Connections’ four year service window to Pierre. Airport Liaison to the Pierre City Commission Jamie Huizenga presented the July enplanement numbers Tuesday night…
July 2025 was down from July 2024 by 54 when 1,272 passengers used Pierre Regional Airport. July 2025 enplanements mark the fourth straight year of decline in July enplanements. July 2022 saw the best July in four years with 1,687 followed by 2023 with 1,440 and 2024 at 1272. The July 2022 number was the best month of the year three years ago. July of this year has been the best so far, beating out May which had 1,199 enplanements. Huizenga also noted a change in 2025 enplanements. Numbers for January and February were amended by Denver Air Connection. January enplanements were originally reported at 976, but that number is now 990 or 14 more. February was originally 1020, but that has been amended down to 868 or 152 fewer than first reported. That makes January the best January in four years for flights from Pierre surpassing 2024 by 19. However with the adjustment February 2025 has the worst enplanements for that month since 2022.
