PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start in special business with a proclamation for Professional Engineers Day before Commissioners consider approval of a four-item consent calendar. On the calendar are approval of claims and meeting minutes from the July 29th meeting. Two raffle requests on the calendar; one for St. Joseph School and the second for the South Dakota Teenage Republicans. There is no unfinished business New business includes the introduction of a plat change in the Shamrock Commercial Addition. Commissioners will consider approval of an amendment to the construction agreement with H-D-R Engineering for the Landfill Cell Four project. The Commission will get a presentation on the 2026 city budget and that will be followed by the start of outside agency budget presentations. Commissioners will start by hearing presentations from Capital Area Counseling Service, the South Dakota Discovery Center and Capital City Band. The meeting will end with Commissioners presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
