FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — A full agenda awaits the Fort Pierre City Council tonight. City officials will give reports to the Council to be followed by 2026 subsidy requests. The Council will consider approval of a change order and pay request on the Maintenance Yard project along with a right-of-way closure request for Trader Days. Council members will consider approval of three temporary liquor license requests, a transfer of property between the City and Stanley County School District and acceptance of the city’s pavement management plan. Three public hearings will be set for August 18th for a temporary liquor license and two plat requests. Three railroad crossings will garner discussion along with pay requests for the Tatanka Trail pedestrian bridge and Dupree Trail. Other agenda items include accepting an agreement for a Finance Officer, a contract for a professional recruitment company and the authorization to make two new hires and other discussion on personnel. The Fort Pierre City Council meets at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room at 5:15 pm.
