Another close game goes the way of the Oahe Zap as they come back to win 4-2 over the Fremont Moo taking the first two games of the three game set and can get the sweep on Friday.
Oahe is officially back over .500 for the first time since they started 1-0 this summer as they are now 22-21 and holding the top spot of the second half of the season in the Independence League. Fremont would take a 2-0 lead through four innings, but the Zap would manufacture runs scoring twice in the bottom of the fifth with an error and a wild pitch to tie the game at 2-2. Jared Pugrad would get the only RBI of the game with a sacrifice fly in bottom of the seventh which gave the Zap the lead and an error from the catcher plated the Zap’s fourth run and Brady Glenn shut the door in the eighth and ninth earning the win going three and two thirds innings of relief allowing only two hits with a walk and two strikeouts.
The Zap will look to sweep Fremont tonight at 6:05 before traveling to Spearfish on Saturday and Sunday with first pitch at 7:05 Saturday and 5:05 on Sunday.
