Monday, Hillsview Golf Course would host golfers in eight divisions over five different age groups as part of the South Dakota Golf Association Junior Tour and two local athletes would win their age group.
In the 12-13 boys division, Beckham McPeck of Agar would hold off Hudson Prunty of Fort Pierre to win the division as McPeck was eight over par, 80 while Prunty was four shots back at 84. Matthew Eberhard of Pierre would be in fourth, just two shots back of Prunty with an 86.
In the boys 14-15 division, Tate Stoeser would be six over par, 78 to win the division and tie for second on the best score of any age group of the day. Stoeser held off Sawyer Hage of Harrisburg for a three shot win while Rigley Kulesa, Dalton Eldridge and Caleb Hutton all of Pierre would finish 4-6 at 84, 85 and 86 respectively. Josh Liudahl would shoot a 97 and Max Brosz a 106.
Other area golfers, Ava Gray would shoot a 129 in the 12-13 girls division and Charlotte Brakke was at 123 in the 14-15 girls division. For those 11 and under, it’s nine hole competition and in the nine and under boys division, Lowen Kulesa would be six over par, 42 to beat out the other two opponents as Riley Royer of Pierre was at 63.
