The Oahe Zap would get another win scoring 10 plus runs on Wednesday, beating the Plainsmen 12-8 at home to extend its winning streak to a season high four games.
The Zap’s big inning was the third as they trailed 3-2, but scored six times to take an 8-3 advantage and never relinquish the lead. Noah Codina and Emiliano Curiel each had a two RBI single in the inning. Curiel also had a two RBI double, the only extra base hit of the game for the Zap, as he had four runs driven in in total. Oahe added a run in the fourth and another three in the ninth as Connor Hammonds also had two RBIs for the Zap who were out hit, but the pitching staff worked around the base hits by only having two walks in the game. Estevan Baca would get the win in four innings starting for the Zap.
Oahe is now 9-16 and have won four straight. The Zap will close out the series with the Plainsmen tonight with first pitch at 6:05. Oahe has the day off Friday before a two game set at home against the Nebraska Prospects Saturday and Sunday.
