PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is holding its final regular meeting in June tonight. A lighter agenda makes up the calendar for tonight. A five-item consent calendar will come before the Commission including minutes from the June 17th meeting, claims an hourly wage adjustment and raffle requests filed by Hillsview Golf Course and the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area. In unfinished business, a public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm for an application by Panda House, Incorporated for a retail on/off sale malt beverage and South Dakota farm wine license. The Commission will also consider bids for landfill bale bags. In new business, the Commission will get a preview of the annual post-Fourth of July Missouri River clean-up and will give introduction to two plat requests. One is a plat of three lots in the Gengler Addition and the second for two lots in the Wheelhouse replat of the Smoking Ridge Addition. The Commission will also consider an agreement for miscellaneous engineering services for the Wastewater Department with Banner and Associates and will canvass recount results from the Pierre City Commission election. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal building.
