The Oahe Zap would stop an eight game skid Sunday afternoon with a 10-6 win over the Casper Spuds with a five run eighth inning to rally for the win.
Jack Daily, Ty Farwell and Aiden Johnson each drove in runs in the first inning as the Zap stormed out to a 3-1 lead. Casper would tie the game at 3-3 in the top of the second and the teams would exchange runs and leads through the fifth inning until the eighth were Casper reclaimed a 6-5 advantage giving the Zap just six outs to make a comeback. It took one big eighth inning to make it happen. Gerren Gledhill would double home the tying and go ahead runs to start a five run eighth inning as Alexander Jackson put the finishing touches on the win with a two run single to push the lead to 10-6. Oahe used six pitchers for the win as Easton Pratt throw five innings with the remaining five pitchers throwing the last four. TJ Eikenberry would pick up the win on the mound for the Zap in just a third of an inning in the top of the ninth.
Oahe improves to 6-16 on the season and will close the four game series tonight in Pierre with a 6:05 first pitch at Hyde Stadium against the Spuds.
