The Oahe Zap and Spearfish Sasquatch resumed its postponed game from Thursday in Pierre on Sunday as the Sasquatch won 12-4 and then finished off sweeping the Zap 10-8.
Picking up the suspended game in the bottom of the fourth and the Zap leading 4-2, Oahe failed to score the remaining of the game while the Sasquatch would put up 10 runs in the final five innings scoring six in the sixth. Oahe had just two hits when play resumed.
Then, to conclude the weekend, Oahe jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a Quinn Ludvigsen and Emiliano Curiel RBI singles. Oahe reclaimed the lead, 4-3 in the top of the fifth as Ty Farwell had an RBI single, but the lead was short lived as Spearfish struck for seven runs including the final three runs in the inning with two outs. Ludvigsen would hit a two run homer in the sixth to pull the Zap within four and then Vince Pollizi had a two RBI double to pull Oahe within two at 10-8 but went down in order in the ninth as Oahe drops their fifth straight.
Oahe drops to 5-13 and will look to end its losing streak against Hastings at home tonight for a single game set. First pitch is at 6:05 from Hyde Stadium in Pierre.
