PIERRE, (KCCR) — The names of some of those involved in a fatal three vehicle crash in Sully County last week has been released by the South Dakota Highway Patrol. The crash happened Wednesday, one mile south of Agar on U-S Highway 83 just before 10 am. A 2017 Dodge Ram pick-up driven by a 16 year-old male from Pierre was traveling north at the time, but had drifted into the southbound lane. A Peterbilt semi driven by 37 year-old Philip Rush of Gettysburg was traveling south at the time. Rush pulled off to the shoulder, but the pick-up struck the rear wheels of his trailer. That caused the pick-up to spin back across the southbound lane and into the path of a second semi, a Volvo driven by 50 year-old Jason Neely of Luck, Wisconsin. Neely turned into the west ditch, but struck the pick-up which stopped in the center of the road. Rush and Neely were using seat belts and no injured. The pick-up driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
