The Oahe Zap would overcome an early 4-2 deficit to win 7-5 over the Casper Spuds on Thursday to even the three game set in Casper, Wyoming.
Oahe would get on the board with two runs in the first with one scoring on an error and another on a wild pitch, but it was Casper scoring three runs in the first and another in the second to lead 4-2. Jack Daily would double home a run in the third to make it 4-3 and Gavin Fraser tied the game scoring in the top of the fifth. After Casper reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the fifth, Oahe put up a three spot in the top of the eighth as Ty Farwell grounded out to tie the game at 5-5 and another error would give the Zap a 6-5 lead with another run scoring to make it 7-5. Jaxson Cornett would get the save with two strikeouts in the ninth. Estevan Baca would pick up the win on the mound with an inning of relief.
Oahe moves to 4-6 on the season and will play the rubber game of the three game set on Friday. First pitch is at 7:30 Central Time from Casper.
