The Oahe Zap would put a stop to their five game losing streak in a big way as the Oahe would sweep Fremont in the quick two game set on Saturday and Sunday winning 13-2 and 11-1.
Both games would be called after seven innings with the 10 run rule in place. On Saturday, Oahe would go down 2-0 in the top of the second, but would answer to tie the game at 2-2 before scoring four runs in the top of the third and another seven runs in the fifth to take the 11 run lead. Ty Farwell had two doubles and three RBIs while Aidan Johnson would get a double and also drive in four runs in the win. Easton Pratt would go the first four innings allowing the two runs on three hits with five walks and six strikeouts. Brady Glenn would go the final three innings allowing just three hits with two strikeouts.
On Sunday, Oahe held Fremont to just one run on two hits as the Zap scored in all but the first and sixth innings and got a walk off sacrifice fly to win the game by the 10 run rule. Gavin Fraser and Vince Polizzi each had two RBIs. Oahe had half of its 10 hits be doubles as Mason Lang had two while Alex Jackson, Jackson Daily and Naruto Saito each had one. Oahe used six pitchers for the win as five of the six didn’t allow a hit as Oahe improves to 3-5 on the season.
The Zap will have back-to-back days off before traveling back to Casper where they started the 2025 season. After the series ends on Friday, Oahe will have just nine road games left of the remaining 39 games.
