Pierre City Commission To Meet Tonight

PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. In special business, Commissioners will get an update on a crew visit to Pierre by members of the U-S-S Pierre. Commissioners will consider approval of five item consent calendar containing the names of 93 seasonal new hires. A public hearing is set for 5:45 pm for applications for alcohol licenses for Pure Bliss Bakery and Cafe. A second public hearing will take place after the first for an alcohol license transfer from Crabby Shells to Deb’s Feed Store. Commissioners will consider a request to purchase a bucket truck for the Electric Department and a hay lease. Three separate plat requests will be introduced by the Commission. The plat changes are in the Wall Plaza, Cone Ag and Smoking Ridge Additions of Pierre. Commissioners will also consider an agreement with the Pierre Swim Team for use of the outdoor municipal pool. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
