The Pierre Governors would host the Capital City Qualifier with 14 teams in town for the event. It was the final home meet of the season for the Govs.
Pierre
Pierre had 23 wins overall including two new school records. In the 4×200 and in the 4×100 as Carter Schiefelbein, Eladio Simental and Carson Stoeser broke both records with Karson Walti in the 4×100 and Will Danburg in the 4×200. Other wins included a 400 meter win for Simental, Caleb Morris in the 800 meters, Lincoln Dilges in both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, Elijah Boutchee in the shot put, Corde Austin in the high jump, Lincoln Houska in the pole vault, Stoeser in the long jump and Morris, Jagger Gardner, Tryton Parmely and Ian Rounds in the 4×800.
For the girls, Charlee Williams-Smith won the 200 meters, Emery Larson the 800 meters, Brooke Hansen in the 100 meter hurdles and Breanna Tedrow in the 300 meter hurdles. Josephine Wurtz, Allyson Bauer, Hansen and Kali Ringstmeyer won the 4×100 while Wurtz, Ringstmeyer, Emlyn Swanson and Lennix DuPris won the 4×200, Wurtz, Larson, Williams-Smith and Reed Curry won the 4×400 and Gwen Richter, Mason Berg, Devyn Van Roekel and Larson won the 4×800. Sorrinne Ekle won the shot put, Amara Dell the high jump, DuPris the long jump and Peyton Dillman in the triple jump.
Sully Buttes
The Sully Buttes Chargers had several top five finishes including Olivia Olson in the 300 meter hurdles, Kadyn Westergren in the shot put and Westergren, Carson Mercer, Bretton Barber and Karsen Miles in the sprint medley relay race all getting second. Easton Moore, AJ Olivier, Jett Yackley and Miles were third in the 4×800 while Payge Bakker was also third in the discus throw.
Stanley County
Stanley County grabbed a win at the Capital City Qualifer as Landon Bame, Brendon Bothwell, Paxton Deal and Justin Trebbe would win the 4×400 relay race. Deal, Bame, Bothwell and Colton Brady were second in the 4×100 and Ryland Magee, Spencer Sargent, Ezra Rutherford and Trebbe were second in the 4×800. Eddie Duffy was second in the triple jump. Kaysen Magee was second in the 400 meters and Raegen Taylor was second in the triple jump and third in the long jump.
Lyman
The Lyman Raiders nabbed two wins as Brooke Montgomery wont he 100 meters and Jordyn Scott won the 400 meters. Montgomery was also second in the 200 meters while Cole Kieffer was second in the 100 meter hurdles, Dawsen Volmer second in the high jump and Aksel Ehlers was second in the pole vault. The team of Bree Smart, Kenzie Wagner, Scott and Montgomery were second in the 4×200 relay.
Potter County
Potter County would get a win from Finlee Heien, Taylyn Rausch, Dannika Kaup and Emma Shlachter in the sprint medley relay race. Kaup, Heien, Schlachter and Jadyn Ahlemeier would get second in the 4×400 while Kaup was second in the 100 meter hurdles and Jaycee Stevens in the 1600 meters. Landon Larson was second in the long jump and the team of Michael Jager, Larson, Jackson Simon and Jhett Simon was second in the 4×200.
