The Pierre Governor tennis team had a strong showing at their home invitational tournament on Friday with a second place finish overall.
The Governors finished with three flight championships over the day as the Govs had Brady Lowery and Jacoby LaRoche win their doubles flight three championship. The two had the most success on the day by then winning their singles flight championships as Lowery, the fifth seed in flight four win his championship’s flight while LaRoche would win in flight six. Lucas Hight and Jacob Leiferman in doubles flight one would get second in their flight and Noah Lueking and William Southern would get the consolation championship in flight three. Leiferman would get second in singles flight two, Hight fourth in flight one and Southern a consolations championship in flight five.
Pierre would score a 231, second among the seven participating teams with Sioux Falls Christian getting first at 382.
