
PIERRE, (KCCR) — Work is underway on two overpasses on Interstate 90 in Jones and Jackson Counties. The work is being done on overpasses at Exit 131 at Cactus Flat and Exit 191 at Murdo. Exit 191 is the second Murdo exit to the west of the U-S Highway 83 junction. Exit 131 is the Interior exit at the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site. Work on both overpasses will include removing concrete, repairing the existing bridge decks then replacing and overlaying the previously removed concrete. While the work is underway, lane closures over the Interstate will be in place. Traffic will be controlled with temporary traffic signals. The signals were installed Tuesday at Exit 191 near Murdo. They are scheduled to be installed at Exit 131 Thursday. The work has as estimated cost of two million dollars and will be done by Fargo, North Dakota-based contractor Industrial Builders, Incorporated. The work is scheduled to be completed, weather permitting by Friday November 14th.
