The Pierre Governor tennis team is going to end one of the busiest weeks in school history with its annual tournament invite which it spread out from Thursday through Friday.
This is the sixth annual Gov Invite which started back in 2019 with 2020 being canceled. Pierre will have all non ESD Class A teams in town for the invite. They will start with duals against St. Thomas More, Aberdeen Roncalli and Milbank on Thursday and then also have Madison, Sioux Falls Christian and Spearfish as part of the tournament. Pierre is 1-3 in duals so far this week having a quad in Mitchell on Monday and then a trip to Aberdeen on Tuesday. Kaden Hight, head coach of the Governors says it’s already been a long week for Pierre…
Pierre will get the tournament this weekend and then head to the ESD in Watertown on Monday and Tuesday as the season is down to its final two weeks of the year. This is the first true tournament of the year for Pierre and Hight says it’s important for these guys to get the experience…
Hight says the biggest key this weekend starts with moving your feet…
The day begins at 10:00 AM this morning and then again at 9:00 AM on Friday.
