
PIERRE, (KCCR) — BankWest has awarded 25 scholarships to high school seniors in the BankWest service territory. The two-thousand dollar scholarships are for the 2025-26 school year to allow students to pursue the post-secondary education of their choice. Receiving scholarships are Rowdy Baldwin, Colton Brady, Jesse Eldridge, Kellen Hanson, Spencer Sargent, Marlee Shorter, Kailey Wallman and Nicole Weiss of Pierre. Also getting scholarships are Reese Hand and Brylee Kafka of Fort Pierre; Brindy Bolander, Ava Craven and Tessa Sieh of Winner and Savannah Hendricks of Vivian. BankWest has awarded scholarships to student account holders the last 32 years, totaling over 628-thousand dollars. BankWest Chairman and C-E-O Charles Burke the Third says 77 students applied for scholarships. He says the scholarships represent more than financial support but a commitment to nurturing extraordinary talent in each community. Students in Scotland, Armour, Delmont, Mitchell, Glenham and Rapid City also received BankWest scholarships for the next school year.
