The Pierre Governor baseball team will get back on the field tonight in Harrisburg to face the Tigers in a doubleheader looking for another two wins.
The Governors opened the season with two wins against the Stevens Raiders where they were had solid pitching and defense to hold off the Raiders to 6-4 and 4-1 wins. Pierre had just enough hits and good base running to score those runs, but as the temperatures get warmer, the bats will most likely come along too. Harrisburg was 0-5 to start the season, but would defeat Washington on Thursday for its first win. The Tigers did not play any South Dakota game in the first five games. These are the only games of the weekend for the Governors.
Coverage of the doubleheader begins at 4:45 with first pitch scheduled for 5:00. Both games will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Dylan Simmons on the call.
