Due to the weather forecasted for Tuesday, the Bob Judson Invite in Pierre has been postponed with a make up date to be potentially determined later.
It’s not how the teams wanted to start the week after Easter and while the temperatures will be warmed on Tuesday than on Monday, the forecasted wind gusts and still the temperatures not being the warmest, the decision was to postpone the event. The likes of Pierre, Stanley County, Sully Buttes, Lyman, Highmore-Harrold, Gettysburg and Hoven will not be able to compete in Pierre on Tuesday or for some, the first meet of the season will be pushed back. Pierre will travel to Huron now on Friday while Gettysburg will be hosting most of the other local teams on Friday which include Stanley County and Sully Buttes.
While it can be hard to reschedule an event for the track and field season, Pierre athletic director Brian Moser will be looking to find a rescheduled date later in April or in May. Pierre still has the Legion Relays and Capitol City Qualifier to host.
