The top two teams in Class AA each receive two girls on the All-State First Team as O’Gorman and Brandon Valley showed why they were the best two teams in the state all season.
Both O’Gorman and Brandon Valley lost one game each. OG lost to Brandon Valley in the first game of the season and Brandon Valley lost the state championship game to O’Gorman as it was the Lynx and Lady Knights the entire year competing for the top spot. Brandon Valley had the player of the year in AA in Alyvia Padgett as the senior averaged 26 points per game while have 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 steals a game. It’s her second straight player of the year award. Gracie Satter joins her on the first team while Sydney Terveen and Ruby Moore each made the All-State first team and are joined by Jefferson’s Brinley Altenburg and Washington’s Dana Harpe. Four of the six members on the second team All-State are out of the ESD and another three on the honorable mention are from the ESD.
