The Stanley County Buffaloes will have two members represent them on the Class A All-State teams as junior Eddie Duffy is named to the third team with senior Paxton Deal being named as an honorable mention.
The Buffaloes finished the year at 20-2 heading into the state tournament, making the Class A state tournament for the first time since 1997 and while all members were major contributors to the team’s success, both Duffy and Deal helped lead the team to an incredible season. Duffy had the team leading 20.2 points per game while averaging 6.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Deal averaged 16.3 points per game while grabbing 3.8 points per game and 2.9 assists. Both players hit the 1000 career point mark during the 2025-26 season. Joey Fischer, head coach of the Stanley County Buffaloes starts with Duffy saying he’s one of the most special kids he’s been able to coach…
For Deal to get honorable mention, Fischer says he put together a great senior year…
Fischer says these two guys absolutely deserve to be on this list…
For the rest of the Class A All-State team, Brant Wassenaar of Sioux Falls Christian would win the player of the year while Marvin Richard III who broke the state record for points in a game joins him on the first team out of Pine Ridge. Connor Mebius of West Central, Trey Hansen of Vermillion, Jackson Wadsworth of Hamlin and Sully Felberg of Clark/Willow Lake round out the first team All-State.
