Junior Eddie Duffy would reach the 1000 point feat in the 69-57 win for the Stanley County Buffaloes over the Chamberlain Cubs on Friday as the Buffs reach the SoDak 16.
Duffy becomes the second player this season to reach 1000 points for Stanley County as teammate and senior Paxton Deal hit the 1000 point mark earlier in the year as the now 19-2 Buffs will head to the SoDak 16 for the first time since the 2021-22 season. Duffy finished with the game high 29 points as he won’t stop at the 1000 point mark by any means. While Stanley County led wire-to-wire, the Cubs didn’t go away in the game and gave themselves a chance to make a 20 point comeback happen, but it was the Buffaloes again who would shut the door and finish off the win for the final time at the Parkview Auditorium this season.
The Buffs are the sixth seed heading to the SoDak 16 on Tuesday. Stanley County will travel to Miller to meet Flandreau in the 6-11 game. Tip off is at 7:30 from the Miller Armory.
