FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is kicking off March tonight with a meeting at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. The Council will hear reports from city officials before diving into the agenda. A proclamation will be made for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and Traumatic Brain Injury Month. Council members will consider authorizing the advertising for summer staff and consider bid awards for work on Benjamin Street and area around Ninth and Yellowstone. The Council will consider approval of a pay application for work on Dupree Trail and will discuss substation improvements with D-G-R Engineering. Other agenda items include a resolution regarding Business Improvement District Number Two and accepting a letter of resignation and authorizing to advertise for an unlisted position. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six-pm. The meeting is open to the community. The South Dakota Municipal League office is located on Island Drive in Fort Pierre.
