It was the featured contest of the night on Saturday for the girls and Sully Buttes Charger Cateri Yellow Hawk would have to go up against undefeated and four time state champion Regina Stoeser of Harrisburg. Yellow Hawk would battle, but finish in second place.
Yellow Hawk, in the 130 finished the year at 33-3 overall would finish in second after being pinned by Stoeser in the third period. Stoeser becomes only the second girl to win five state championships in her career. Yellow Hawk gets second for a second straight year and also medaled for the sixth straight year, setting the bar high for future Charger wrestlers. Sister Tahnie Yellow Hawk would place sixth, but had to medically forfeit the fifth place match as the two were the place winners for the Chargers on the weekend. Paige Jonas, Cheyenne Fuller and Kayden Westergren were eliminated on Friday in their senior year.
