Stanley County Sophomore Timber Hanson had to battle for six matches over three days and came away as the fourth place finisher in the 100 on Saturday in Sioux Falls at the girls state tournament.
After falling to the eventual second place finisher, Shaylee Speck on Thursday, Hanson went 3-0 on Friday to reach the third place match. Hanson would be pinned in the third period to take home fourth place, but the battle she had on Friday had her be one of the most wrestled athletes at the state tournament for the weekend. She was the lone Stanley County Buffalo to place at the state tournament.
