The Oahe Capitals Bantam A and B teams will be on the road this weekend to close out the year with the state tournaments with the A’s in Yankton and the B’s in Aberdeen.
The Capitals A team finished the year at 5-13 on the season and will be the seven seed taking on the Watertown Lakers in the first round of the tournament. Oahe did go 0-2 against the Lakers, but lost 2-1 at the Expo Center in the second game against the Lakers. Oahe is led in scoring by Gunner Neddo who scored 13 goals on the season.
The Bantam B team is the six seed and will be fighting for their first win of the season opening up the state tournament on Friday in Aberdeen. With only six teams, the B’s are guaranteed only two games with the consolation championship to play on Saturday. Oahe will take on Sioux Falls Orange 1 at 3:00 Friday in the first game of the state tournament.
