It was the first game of the Region 6A playoffs on Tuesday and the second seeded Miller Rustlers would have no problems getting past Stanley County in a 63-22 win.
The Lady Buffs struggled to get on the scoreboard in the first quarter as Miller jumped out to a 22-0 lead before the Lady Buffs scored. It was 39-11 at the half and a running clock started early in the third quarter as the Rustlers advance to the SoDak 16 qualifying game on Thursday to face Cheyenne-Eagle Butte who beat Crow Creek 85-34. Stanley County was led by Addy Deal’s eight points while Elyssa Tedder had five. Austyn Norman and JoRoyah Walker are the only two juniors on the team and without any seniors everyone is eligible to return for next season and the Lady Buffs will look to use this season as a building block for the 2026-27 year. Stanley County finished the season at 1-20. Miller picked up its 16th win of the year.
In the other game on Tuesday, Platte-Geddes beat Chamberlain 51-48 on the road and will face Mobridge-Pollock on Thursday for a spot in the SoDak 16. Miller is hosting Cheyenne-Eagle Butte.
