PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is holding it’s final regular February meeting tonight. In special business, a proclamation will be made for Engineers Week before the Commission considers approval of a five item consent calendar containing minutes and claims and two raffle requests filed by the Izaak Walton League Sunshine Chapter and Countryside Support and Memory Care. The Commission will move straight into six items of new business. The Commission will consider approval of a contract for renewal of use of Hyde Stadium for the Oahe Zap baseball team along with a consultant contract for the water water treatment facility. Approval of a second consultant contract will be considered with H-D-R Engineering for the drinking water treatment plant. Commissioners will consider approval of an amendment to an agreement with Paradigm software for the Solid Waste Department, a grant application with the Department of Transportation for a planning and research program and plat request is also on the agenda. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building.
