The Stanley County Buffaloes were not going to be held back on Saturday in a dominating win over the Gettysburg Battlers in a 62-23 thumping at home.
The Buffs and Battlers were making up the game which was postponed from late January and the only game of the week was no worries for Stanley County as they held the Battlers to just seven points in the first half leading 38-7 at the break and the running clock enacted to start the third quarter on the way to the 15 win of the season. Both Paxton Deal and Eddie Duffy individually had more points in the first half than Gettysburg could get in the first half overall. Deal had the game high 17 points while Duffy finished with 14 in the game but did not score much in the second half with the game already well in hand. Teegyn Breitag had nine for the Buffs who improve to 15-2 on the season while te Battlers drop to 7-10.
Stanley County will have three games remaining starting with Mobridge-Pollock on the road on Tuesday part of a doubleheader. The girls will tip off first at 6:30 with the boys to follow.
