The Oahe Lady Capitals would get the first win of the weekend on Friday night as the Caps would shutout Mitchell 3-0 on the road with Taylah Allerdings getting her first career shutout.
Aubrey Stewart would score the lone goal of the first period on a second chance opportunity as the Caps outshot the Marlins 10-4 in the first period. Starting the second period on the power play, Dakota McEntaffer would score 32 seconds into the second and then score a second goal of the game to make it 3-0 halfway through the second. Stewart would assist on both goals as she finished with three points as Sonya Jundt assisted the first goal and Mallory Lehrkamp would assist on the third goal of the game. Oahe held the Marlins to just four shots on goal in the third period and Allerdings would get a 19 save shutout to grab her third win of the season and first shutout.
Oahe is in Sioux Center Saturday and Sunday for a 5:00 game tonight and 12:00 game on Sunday. Both games will be on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
