The Stanley County Buffalo basketball teams will be on the road tonight to Stephan as they take on Crow Creek in a boys and girls doubleheader in Region 6A contests.
The Lady Buffs are looking to get its first win of the season as they face the Lady Chieftains who are coming in at 3-10 on the season and are on a three game losing skid dropping its latest game to Winner on Tuesday. Crow Creek is sixth and Stanley County is seventh in the Region 6A standings. It’s a big opportunity for the Lady Buffs to pick up their first win of the season and do so against a region opponent.
Stanley County boys are looking to bounce back from the loss on Tuesday to Sully Buttes and get right back into the win column against a region foe as Crow Creek is coming into the night at 3-10 on the year. The Buffs don’t want to overlook the Chieftains but want to handle business against the last place team in 6A. Stanley County is now 11th in the Class A standings overall and will drop in seed point average even with a win, but cannot drop a game with even fewer seed points. The Buffs will also compete at the Dakota State Classic on Saturday still this week.
Tip off of the doubleheader is scheduled for 6:30 for the girls game and the boys game to follow in Stephan.
