The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes would travel to Gregory on Tuesday with the boys at home as the Gorillas would storm out to a 70-30 win on the night to keep the Lady Buffs off the win column.
Gregory jumped out to a 20 point lead after the first first quarter and had it up to 29 at 46-17 at the break as Stanley County struggled to get into offensive rhythm with made shots. The Gorillas would enact the running clock in the third quarter and still score another 24 points in the second half. Gregory improves to 7-4 on the year while Stanley County drops to 0-14. The Gorillas were led in scoring by Dani VanDerwerff with 26 points on the night while Regan Graessar had 23 points including five made threes in the first quarter and six total on the night. JoRayah Walker had the team high for Stanley County as she had 10 points including going 6-10 from the free throw line while Kynzi Hall had seven and Addy Deal and Austyn Norman each had six.
Stanley County will travel to Stephan on Thursday as part of a boys and girls doubleheader against Crow Creek. Tip off of the girls game will be at 6:30 with the boys game to follow.
