(Ft. Pierre) – High School basketball returns to action Tuesday at the Parkview Auditorium between the Sully Buttes Chargers and the Stanley County Buffalo. It will be the 21st meeting since 2006. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Chargers enter Tuesday game on a two game losing streak after falling 62-57 on Saturday against Hills-Beaver Creek on Saturday at the Dakota Valley Classic. They fell to Timber Lake last Tuesday. Sully Buttes has a 7-3 record on the season. All three loses for the Chargers has been when they have scored less than 60 points. Stanley County is 10-1 on the season entering Tuesday’s contest against the Chargers. The Buffaloes are on a two game winning streak after Saturday’s win against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte. They started the season 8-0.
It will be the 21st meeting since 2006. The Chargers have led the series at 16 wins to four losses. However, Stanley County is 4-1 in the last five meetings. Sully Buttes won the last meeting 43-40.
The Buffaloes have been a high scoring team this season averaging 62 points per game this season while the Chargers average 65 points per contest. Eddie Duffy and Paxton Deal would be the scoring duo for Stanley County while the Chargers have their scoring duo with Wesley Wittler and Jett Yackley.
