Coverdale is no stranger to the education system in Stanley County. He is a 1990 graduate from Stanley County having attended the Liberty and New Liberty Country schools before starting high school in Fort Pierre in 1986. Coverdale has been in education for 30 years include 24 as a teacher and administrator in the Pierre School District.
