Saturday afternoon, the Oahe Lady Capitals would hold on for a 3-2 win over the Watertown Lakers in Watertown to sweep the season series against the Lakers.
Oahe never trailed in the contest with Emily Nemec scoring the lone goal in the first period to take a 1-0 lead. After a tying goal from Lily Murray, Mallory Lehkramp would give teh lead back to the Caps on the power play and Brenna Ullman would put in the third goal from a great pass from Sonya Jundt. The Caps had 10 saves on 12 shots from Kylee Fromm to pick up the win and split the weekend trip to move to 9-3 on the season.
Oahe will face Rushmore and Sioux Fall on Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend. Puck drop is at 10:45 on Sunday and 9:45 Sunday with both games on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
