The Pierre Governor girls wrestling team would place third at the Harrisburg tournament on Friday on the road in the second straight day of competition.
The Govs would score a total of 147.5 points behind Aberdeen Central and Watertown who placed one and two respectively. Pierre had just beaten Watertown the night before in the triangular in Pierre. Shaylee Speck, Kezrey Benning and Abbigail Lewis would all win weight class championships for the Govs while Gemma Stangeland would place fourth with Sydney Caven and Layne Heasley each placing fifth for the Governors. Pierre had eight of nine girls hit the podium at the tournament.
