The Oahe Lady Capitals would drop a 4-2 game to the Brookings Rangers Friday night on the road as the Rangers would score two second period goals to pick up the win.
Oahe would open up with the lead Friday night as Micah Buffalo would stuff home a puck loose in front of goalie Rorii Quam. But the Rangers would answer 40 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1 on the power play through the first period. Kinzey Grendler and Grace DeVries would make it 3-1 before Brenna Ullman’s dump in from the blue line would go on net and missed by Quam to score to make it 3-2 after two periods. However, Brookings would get the only goal of the third to move to 2-0 against the Caps this season and now 11-1 on the season while Oahe falls to 8-3. Taylah Allerdings had 26 saves on 30 shots in the loss.
Oahe will take on Watertown Saturday with a 1:00 puck drop and coverage starting at 12:40 on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
