PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start in special business as Commissioners get an update on 2026 tree trimming operations. The Commission will consider approval of a six-item consent calendar including meeting minutes, claims the 2026 Volunteer firefighter roster and raffle requests for the Pierre Swim Team, Oahe Family Y-M-C-A and South Dakota Women’s Prison Employee club. As for the agenda, only three items of new business are up for consideration. Commissioners will consider requests to bid 2026 pipe, fittings, valves and hydrants and 2026 curb and gutter projects. The Commission will also consider approval of an infrastructure lining repair with MOCON Pacific. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have.
